Dally Saculla

Dally Saculla put together two consistent runs to win the 12 & Under Goat Tying Semifinals with a 15.83 on two head at the 2026 Hooey Junior Patriot in Fort Worth, Texas.

The 11‑year‑old stayed composed through a busy week of competition to secure the average win and a spot in the coveted final round.

“I almost fumbled when I got off, and I thought I was going to fall,” Saculla said of her first round 7.37‑second run. “But I didn’t fall, and I just went ahead and made my run.”

She followed it with an 8.46 in the second round to finish atop the leaderboard and collect $540 for the win. The semifinal performance was part of a packed Patriot schedule that also included breakaway roping jackpots and multiple goat tying entries.

Saculla has been competing in goat tying for less than two years, though she first learned the fundamentals by watching her older sister in the practice pen. After stepping away from riding for several years following a fall, she returned to the sport motivated by friends and a renewed love for competition.

“When I went to my first rodeo back, I was really nervous,” Saculla said. “But then I loved it, and I just wanted to do it more.”

Mounted on a sassy but fast gelding she calls Blue—a former calf horse—Saculla has quickly found her rhythm. She credits her parents and sister for helping shape her, while also developing her own tying style.

With the semifinal title secured, Saculla shifts her focus to the $50,000 bonus round opportunity.

“Every time before I go, I pray and then I close my eyes and think of a really fast run,” Saculla said. “Besides that, I just try to go fast.”
