The 2026 Finals ran March 5 – 15. The 2027 classes, fees and entries come with the 2027 flyers.
Anchored by two ten-day finals, in Fort Worth, Texas in March and Las Vegas, Nevada in December, the Patriot and the Hooey Junior Patriot have become destination events in western sports. Thousands of contestants from across the United States compete all year in a nationwide system of qualifying events for the right to enter, and the title of Patriot Champion.
Competitors from 5 to 19, with select adult divisions, come to the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Breakaway Roping, Barrel Racing, Goat Tying, Pole Bending, Tie-Down Roping, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Roughstock Riding and Mutton Bustin, across four arenas running at once.
| Event | 2026 payout |
|---|---|
| Team Roping, Breakaway & Tie-Down | $1.2+ M |
| Barrels | $851+ K |
| Poles & Goats | $336+ K |
| Steer Wrestling | $36 K |
| Rough Stock & Mutton Bustin | $14 K |
Side pots at approved rodeos across the country earn a place at the finals; Last Chance Qualifiers at Fort Worth give one more way in.
Each Hooey Jr Patriot event runs its Semi Finals during the week. The top 15 come back for the Rodeo Finals in Will Rogers Coliseum.
Finish in the top three of your event and you ride again in the Bonus Round. To cash in, you must beat the winning time of your own event finals, with no ties. 12U & 15U ride for $50,000 on Saturday night; 19U ride for $100,000 on Sunday.

All transactions onsite have a $30 office fee and a $50 late fee. The Hooey Junior Patriot events or short go take precedence over any jackpot in the Pavilion.
The Patriot office is open Mon-Thurs 7-5 MST.
